Luminosa

The six-member women’s vocal ensemble Luminosa takes its audience on a musical journey to ring in the New Year. The program combines a contemplative Christmas celebration (featuring works by Ola Gjeilo and Eriks Esenvalds, among others) with hopeful pieces for the new year (featuring works by Knut Nystedt and Thomas Hanelt, among others).

Founded in 2023, the ensemble has quickly made a name for itself internationally. The highly talented singers cover a broad repertoire ranging from classical to contemporary music. Among other accolades, Luminosa is a prize winner of the 14th International A Cappella Competition in Leipzig (2024) and the Fanny Mendelssohn Competition (2024), a scholarship recipient from the City of Munich and the Mozarteum in Salzburg, and has performed at festivals such as the Leipzig Bach Festival.
