Lirum Larum Reading Festival

In cooperation with elementary school, district libraries, cultural institutions, associations and bookshops, around 50 events around the world of children's literature will take place across the city over 8 days. The festival will be framed by two major events: The opening event will take place in the Haus der Jugend. The finale will be celebrated at Theater Freiburg. All events are free of charge.

Since 1994, the Cultural Office has been organizing the Freiburg Children's Literature Festival in cooperation with Theater Freiburg (since 2007), which in its premiere year was also the 1st Baden-Württemberg Children's and Youth Literature Days.
