An exciting and scenically beautiful excursion awaits us in the Fernecker Valley. Three different bodies of water (stream, brook, pond) create ideal conditions for an astonishing variety of dragonfly species - including the forked damselfly and various species of blue darter. The adjacent vineyards are home to butterflies such as the red-brown ox-eye and the blue-eyed hawker. With luck, we may even find the large fritillary.
