Culture break: New names in the memorial room

170 new names in the memorial room of the Documentation Center for National Socialism: In a short tour, Julia Wolrab, scientific director of the DZNS, talks about the expansion of the memorial site and presents selected biographies. The memorial room in the covered inner courtyard commemorates all Freiburg residents who were persecuted under National Socialism. More than 1000 people who were murdered or died in the context of persecution between 1933 and 1945 were previously visible here by name. Thanks to intensive research, more people have now been added. Admission is free of charge. The number of participants is limited. It is necessary to book a free event ticket in the online store.
