Klangwellengang - In a trio with the concertmaster of the Berliner Philharmoniker Daishin Kashimoto, master student of Rainer Kussmaul at the Freiburg University of Music, and the sought-after cellist Claudio Bohórquez, Freiburg professor Éric Le Sage invites you to a home performance with a colorful program: Takemitsu subjects his motifs to meditative metamorphoses in "Between Tides", while Ravel's only piano trio conceals the drama of its completion in the middle of the First World War behind delicately shimmering, at times exotic sound magic. Schubert's E flat major Trio crowns the concert as a late masterpiece. Beethoven's example greets us from the energetic, gripping opening of the first movement, the Andante con moto is based on a Swedish folk song; after the playful Scherzo, the finale finally takes on dimensions that could only be appreciated in all their genius in Schubert's posterity.
