The Piano at Goethe's

The College of Music and the Goethe-Institut Freiburg are very pleased to announce the new dates for the “Piano at Goethe” concert series. The pianists introduce themselves to the audience and provide an introduction to the works they will be performing. After the concert, which lasts about an hour, the Goethe-Institut invites attendees to enjoy a glass of wine in the company of the artists.

Since 2017, the monthly concert series “Klavier bei Goethe” has provided international piano students with the opportunity to perform outside the Freiburg College of Music. This concert series stems from an initiative by the renowned pianist and university professor Gilead Mishory.

The Goethe-Institut Freiburg offers practice opportunities for musicians who are learning German at the institute so they can study music in Germany. In turn, many musicians from abroad study at the Freiburg University of Music. The concert series provides these international musicians with an artistic platform.

The concert is supported by the Society for the Promotion of the Freiburg College of Music (Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Hochschule für Musik Freiburg e. V.).
