Children's sewing course during the Easter vacations (from 8 to 12 years)

Are you curious about how sewing works? In this sewing course, you will get to know the sewing machine and how to show it the ropes. Afterwards, you will have mastered a little "tailoring lingo" and know what a seam allowance or fabric fold is and why fabrics are usually sewn right sides together. As a "warm-up exercise", we will sew a cushion from strips. Afterwards you have the choice: you can either sew another cushion, a bag or a gym bag. Please enter an email address when you register and you will receive an email with exact details of the fabric you need. Please bring your own: Fabric (woven fabric, not stretchy, pre-washed), batting, sewing thread, paper scissors, fabric scissors, pins, tailor's chalk, tape measure, snack, drink. Sewing machines are available, but you are welcome to bring your own sewing machine (in perfect technical condition!) with accessories and instruction booklet.
