Michael Kiedaisch brings his wealth of experience from the intersections of jazz, new music, world music, and free improvisation. Murat Coskun is a wanderer through the
global worlds of rhythm. As a longtime member of the Moscow Art Ensemble, Arkady Shilkloper has demonstrated how modern jazz can be fused with the sounds of the East—which may not be so different after all. This extraordinary lineup allows the trio to produce a variety of rarely heard sounds. The warm, percussive woody tones of the marimba, combined with the sounds of the frame drums—sometimes sonorous, sometimes
