Kakkmaddafakka - Live 2027
The five energetic Norwegians from Kakkmaddafakka don’t need long breaks—they’re made for touring and live shows! Their energy never seems to run out. They proved that once again on their seventh album, *Revelation*. The latest album is the logical follow-up to *Diplomacy* (2019), which also had a significantly more electronic sound than its predecessor, *Hus* (2017). The five Norwegians prove once again that they can continue to evolve their sound without straying too far from their roots. In particular, the growing influence of synthesizers has shaped Kakkmaddafakka’s sound in recent years. The fact that they also draw stylistic inspiration from older genres doesn’t take away from the fun. Modern pop sounds, as in the opener “Sixth Gear,” alternate with new wave references, as in “Good Guy,” or disco beats, as in “Horses Are Running,” without ever losing touch with the band’s identity: “We don’t sit down and say, ‘We want to make a song from the ’70s or ’80s,’” says Pål Vindenes about the work on the album, “our sound is completely organic because of the different influences we have in the band. The only thing that matters to us is that, in the end, we can say: ‘Yes, that’s the Kakk sound!’” Now they’re heading out on another explosive European tour this fall, where they’ll not only captivate audiences with their ecstatic live shows but also unveil their highly anticipated new songs from their upcoming eighth album. On their tour, they’ll present new songs alongside timeless hits like “Restless,” “Naked Blue,” and “Forever Alone.”
