Jazz & Talk: Günter A. Buchwald

"Jazz & Talk" at the Museum für Neue Kunst (Museum of Contemporary Art) is not a concert in the traditional sense. Rather, it is a meeting place for music, thoughts and the unforeseen in the museum restaurant "La Terrazza ad Arte". Saxophonist Niko Halfmann invites musicians who have more to tell than just notes. This time's guest is a musician with a time machine: Günter A. Buchwald. He is a conductor, pianist, violinist and composer - but above all a magician of the art of silent film. He has been providing live accompaniment to film classics from the early days of cinema since 1978. Admission is free.
