James Blunt - Airplane Mode Tour

James Blunt to Embark on a Major “Airplane Mode Tour” Through Germany and Austria in Spring 2027

James Blunt is taking off again: On November 6, the British singer-songwriter will release his new album “Airplane Mode” via Atlantic Records—an album that looks to the future while delivering precisely that blend of lightheartedness, melancholy, and sharp observation for which the musician has been celebrated for years.

To accompany the album, James Blunt has announced an extensive tour of Germany. The tour’s first stop will take the British artist to Nuremberg on February 23, 2027, followed by nine more concerts in Germany as well as two shows in Innsbruck and Vienna. The “Airplane Mode Tour” will then conclude on March 24, 2027, in Mannheim.

With the lighthearted single “Tastes Like Summer,” James Blunt has already given fans a first taste of “Airplane Mode.” Now, “Weight Of It All” follows as a second song that reveals a different side of the album: more contemplative, closer to the demands of modern life and the burdens many people carry. In total, “Airplane Mode” brings together twelve stories about being on the move, about detours, new beginnings, and life’s small and large bumps in the road. Other highlights include the anthem “Circles,” which already has the makings of a new Blunt classic, the laid-back, driving groove of “Oh Daisy,” and the raw emotionality of “Modern Love.”

The new album marks a return to form for an artist who never ceases to surprise. “Somewhere along the way, I lost myself, but found myself again in a studio in Banbury,” says Blunt of Pig Music Studios, where most of the album was recorded.

The album was created in collaboration with James Blunt’s longtime, exceptionally tight-knit live band—and that’s exactly what you can hear on the album. Next year, James Blunt and his band will be back on tour.
