Masterpieces such as "Inglorious Basterds" and even the legendary James Bond series are inextricably linked with Freiburg. We show you which bank house hosted a witches' convention, where world-famous agents lived and why the university was blown up. A cinematic search for clues: anecdotal, prominent, wacky.

This tour covers interesting film locations where, among others Diane Keaton, Uwe Ochsenknecht, Klaus Kinski and many others, but we also shed light on people who - once living in Freiburg - enriched the world of cinema - just think of films such as "Inglourious Basterds", "Geierwally" or the James Bond series. And: we shed light on the first cinema chain in Germany to be based in Freiburg. Or we talk about the man who invented an entire film genre - in Freiburg studios!
But the effects of propaganda films in the Third Reich are also addressed when we talk about Leni Riefenstahl, her committal to the Freiburg psychiatric ward and the trials against her (in our city, among others). Or the student protests in front of the Friedrichsbau cinema on the occasion of a film by Veit Harlan. Incidentally, the Friedrichsbau also enjoys a special superlative ... Or, or, or ........ of course it's about much more and ends with a - "Schnapsklappe"!
