Where does our knowledge of history come from? What sources give us information about past events and where are they kept? The answer: in the archives. But what do archivists actually do all day? What kind of documents are kept in an archive and who is even allowed to look at them? On a guided tour of the Freiburg State Archives, you will gain an insight into the diverse and exciting activities in the archives, get to see unique items from over 200 years of southern Baden history and also visit areas that are otherwise not open to the public.
