FUNDFABRIK in Freiburg combines sustainable shopping with a circular economy in action. At this modern secondhand store in the Freiburg-Nord industrial area, well-preserved items from Freiburg’s recycling centers are given a second life. Visitors will discover a diverse selection of furniture, household goods, clothing, books, bicycles, electronics, toys, and many other everyday items. All goods are inspected, cleaned, and refurbished before being sold.
With approximately 3,000 square meters of floor space, FUNDFABRIK is one of the largest secondhand department stores in the region. The concept goes far beyond that of a traditional secondhand store. In addition, the store offers activities such as Repair Cafés, workshops, lectures, and upcycling projects that provide visitors with practical ideas for a resource-conscious lifestyle. Collaboration with local initiatives and educational institutions also makes FUNDFABRIK a place for people to meet and exchange ideas.
