Freiburg brook picnic

For the Bächlepicknick, picnic baskets are packed with culinary products that can be booked online in advance and picked up in the city center on the day of the event. Afterwards, the participants can choose their personal picnic spot at the Bächle. The baskets, which are beer crates from the local Ganter brewery, contain only regional specialties such as Weckle or a walnut cake. Furthermore, there are various spreads, pastes and tapenades from savory to sweet to choose from. Vegetarians and meat lovers alike get their money's worth. The right refreshment in summer temperatures is guaranteed by Baden wine, beer and Radler from local breweries, as well as organic apple juice spritzer. Biodegradable tableware and cutlery are also provided.

Prices are 42 euros per basket for two adults and 48 euros per basket for families. Students and trainees with appropriate proof pay 38 euros for a basket filled for two people. Interested parties can book a picnic basket online at www.freiburgerleben.de/baechlepicknick by May 23. Payment is possible via PayPal or debit/credit card.

It is also possible without prior online booking to pick up or assemble a basket at the distribution points on the day of the event, subject to availability. In this case, however, the Weckle must be purchased yourself. When picking up the baskets, a deposit of 20 euros per basket must be paid in cash, which will be refunded upon return. The baskets can be collected on the day of the event from 12:00. The distribution points are located in front of Bettenhaus Stiegeler at Gerberau 34-36 and on the first floor of the Rotteckring 14 building.
