The visionary and the seer
The Goethe-Institut Freiburg is delighted to welcome the concert of the duo "Camille Claudel". Pianist Noémie Berz and cellist Kevin Bourdat dedicate their program to Franco-German Romanticism and present two special composers: Marie Jaëll and Franz Liszt. Their close friendship and shared passion for the piano are reflected in expressive music characterized by inner depth and the spirit of their time. With Jaëll's sonata for cello and piano and Liszt's lyrical pieces, the concert invites you to rediscover two fascinating personalities and to question traditional ideas about women in music history.
Noémie Berz is a pianist, fortepianist and harpsichordist who performs as a soloist and chamber musician with great stylistic openness. She particularly enjoys devoting herself to female composers who have long been overlooked and bringing them back into focus.
Kevin Bourdat is a cellist and gambist. His musical spectrum ranges from early music, chanson and contemporary repertoire to internationally acclaimed chamber music.
Afterwards, we cordially invite you to round off the evening with a free drink.
Admission is free, donations for the musicians are welcome.
We look forward to seeing you there in large numbers!
