The Freiburg Christmas Circus Circolo offers a festive circus experience for the whole family from December 19, 2026, through January 6, 2027. Look forward to a world-class international program featuring award-winning performers, curated by the Mack family—the event organizers—with great passion and a keen eye for the extraordinary. Breathtaking acrobatics, poetic imagery, zany comedy, and rousing music blend into a feast for all the senses.
Headstands, obstacle jumps, and human pyramids on the double rope are both adventurous and impressive. The Mesa Group’s performance at dizzying heights will take your breath away. With these four artists from Colombia, the Christmas Circus Circolo is once again hosting a spectacular high-wire show for the first time in a long while.
The two diabolo artists, stand-up comedians, and jugglers Benny & Max amaze the audience with extraordinary tricks and breakneck speed. Ever since they were crowned “Diabolo World Champions,” all doors have been open to this multi-talented duo. When a gentle rain falls in the ring, the Ukrainian aerial acrobatics duo Rain unfolds all its poetry, creating images full of grace and emotion.
The Flying Stars from Chile thrill audiences with a breathtaking performance on the trapeze. The Selfmade Superheroes get the circus tent buzzing with their breakdance show and pole performances.
Florian Blümel also demonstrates world-class talent with his award-winning artistic bike act. On just one bike, he combines extreme difficulty, elegance, and suspense—a performance that has captivated audiences worldwide and is now enchanting the Freiburg crowd. Mr. & Mrs. Strange provide charming and whimsical surprises: blending magic, acting, and juggling, comedy weaves its way through the act, leading to wonderfully absurd moments.
Host Julica Goldschmidt guides the audience through the show with charm and a twinkle in her eye. The artists are accompanied musically by the legendary Circolo Orchestra, which lends the performances a very special touch.
