Cala Theatre

With the H15, the Cargo Theater Freiburg has had its own permanent cultural venue in Haslacher Straße since 2024. The new venue combines a theater space, rehearsal studio and foyer and thus offers ideal conditions for a varied program of children's and youth theater, evening productions, guest performances, workshops and cultural education work. As part of Freiburg's independent cultural scene, the H15 stands for contemporary, often improvisation-based productions that work with the body, objects, space and material.

The Cargo Theater itself has been shaping Theater Freiburg's theatrical landscape since 1992 and develops plays for different age groups in changing collaborations. In the H15, this artistic work now finds a permanent home - open for encounters, exchange and new creative formats. Thanks to its barrier-free access and location in the Haslach district, the venue is an exciting cultural location away from traditional theaters and a special tip for anyone who wants to discover Freiburg's independent theater scene.
