Bowl Maker Society has given Freiburg a modern restaurant concept that combines Japanese ramen culture with the Chinese malatang principle. In Humboldtstraße, guests put together their own individual bowl: From fresh vegetables, mushrooms and tofu to meat, seafood and different types of noodles, a personal favorite combination is created, which is then refined with homemade broths. Particularly popular are the umami broths cooked over many hours, such as "Red Tori", "Tonkotsu" or vegan versions with tom yum or roasted garlic.
The restaurant has an urban, modern ambience and appeals primarily to guests who value fresh ingredients, individual dishes and communal dining. The flexible bowl concept makes Bowl Maker Society suitable for vegetarian and vegan diets as well as classic ramen fans.
