Björn von Morgenstern - Roundabout Festival
From the village to the arena. It’s the stunt of the year. Comedy newcomer Björn von Morgenstern has a dream and is venturing into Germany’s largest arena.
Quitting your job to try your hand at comedy? Crazy. Then going on a solo tour after just one year: Even crazier. THEN to say: The first solo show will be performed at the Lanxess Arena—the craziest thing ever done in German comedy. That’s exactly what Björn von Morgenstern is doing with his first show, KREISVERKEHRFEST. Straight from the village to the arena in Cologne. Does that make sense? Probably not, but comedy doesn’t have to make sense—it just has to be surprising, funny, and absurd. This idea is all of that, and the show is an invitation to experience something truly unique. A newcomer on the country’s biggest stage. Alone, but with the guarantee that this evening will be unforgettable.
Never before has a solo artist in the comedy scene performed in this venue so early in their career. Björn von Morgenstern is ready to take the plunge. Björn is currently the most sought-after newcomer on the German comedy scene. Over a year ago, he quit his job to become a comedian. A lot has happened since then. Björn has now performed in over 360 mix shows, is a finalist for the 2024 NightWash Talent Awards, winner of the 2025 Cologne ComedyClash, has performed at what is currently Germany’s most famous club—Felix Lobrecht’s Downstairs Comedy Club—and now hosts his own open mic, which he regularly runs at the trendy Comedy Club Düsseldorf. The first shows of his solo tour sold out completely in no time. Now he’s heading to the arena.
In his first stand-up comedy show, *KREISVERKEHRFEST*, Björn von Morgenstern talks about growing up in a small town—between the roundabout festival and other creative events. He also talks about how crazy the big wide world is when you don’t learn about most things until much later than everyone else. No wonder, then, that he also interpreted his time in the German Armed Forces in a rather creative way. It rarely gets serious—instead, it’s always absurd and funny.
The show is the comedian’s only solo show in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2026 and takes place as part of the COLOGNE COMEDY FESTIVAL.
