The concerts on the weekend of Halloween and All Saints’ Day are dedicated to the theme of death from a secular, often dark and mysterious perspective. The focus is on ballads and stories that tell of life on the border between this world and the next, as well as of supernatural phenomena and beings. The musical works range from modern choral music to late Romantic and early modern compositions by composers such as Gjeilo, Wikander, Schumann, Distler, Stanford, Reger, Mäntyjärvi, and others.
