In this course, we want to engage in a writing process that is dedicated to (auto)biographical storytelling. The focus is on our own life story as well as on vividly remembering, recounting and writing down the biographies of our fellow human beings, people close to us such as family members or friends, for example, but also the biographical approach to people who are strangers or more distant to us and their time. Thought-provoking suggestions in the form of creative writing exercises, impulses for research and the question of why a careful and respectful approach is so important help us to develop our own feeling for (auto-)biographical texts and their embedding in history. A writing workshop for all those who are looking for a railing on the broad terrain of biographical writing in order to be able to trace their own lifetime and that of their ancestors and fellow human beings through writing.
