ADHD - "Thinking and listening differently (reading with discussion)"

ADHD - four letters that trigger controversial discussions and about which many have an opinion, although "only" five percent of children are actually affected. For them and their families, however, the diagnosis is life-defining. These four letters stand for many misunderstandings and myths that make life with ADHD children even more difficult for parents. But why does this so-called "fashionable diagnosis" trigger such heated debates? Based on her book "Neuronengewitter", published in 2024, which gives a very personal account of the experiences of a family with two affected children, the author Ursula Frühe would like to offer information in an open discussion round after a short reading in order to get to the bottom of some of the circulating clichés, clarify unanswered questions and, above all, to strengthen affected families. Interested educational staff and all others who are indirectly affected by the diagnosis of ADHD are also welcome.
