46th Herdermer Hock at the church square

Now in its 46th year, the popular neighborhood festival will once again take place from July 24–27, 2026, in the village center of Alt-Herdern. The three traditional clubs (the Volunteer Fire Department, the Gymnastics Club, and the Lalli Guild) are once again fully committed to providing hearty food and drink, music, and entertainment. For the tenth time this year, airy tents will be set up along the Glasbach instead of wooden booths. Of course, Kaiserstuhl and Markgräfler wines (from the Bötzingen Winegrowers’ Cooperative) will once again be available for tasting. And the festival has remained loyal to the Ganter Brewery: just as it has since the very first festival, beer from this traditional Freiburg brewery will be flowing in Herdern.

Several bands will perform throughout the festival to provide entertainment. On Monday evening, the “Sürpfler-Treffen” will take place, offering a chance to sit together comfortably one last time to wrap up the festivities.
