Visiting the lion and ox: The southern Stühlinger (guided tour)

This tour leads to the still visible remnants and vanished places of industrial and working-class culture in Stühlinger. We stop at the former Löwenbrauerei brewery and visit the extensive grounds of the district nursing home, where deportations during the Nazi era paved the way for the cruel murder of defenceless people. Many an architectural gem that you would otherwise pass by carelessly is examined more closely. The tour ends at the industrial estate near the old "Gasi" and the E-Werk event rooms on the southern border of the district, which until the last century did not exactly enjoy the best reputation as the "Scherbenviertel". But the shards had nothing to do with the beer bottles from the aforementioned Löwenbrauerei brewery - this secret will also be revealed on the way. - Registration required.
