WISHBONE ASH - The Time Was Tour

Hamburg, 12.06.2025. Following the success of their Wishlist Tour earlier this year, the British rock band will be playing further concerts in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Scandinavia in January and February 2026.

"It was a great adventure for the fans and for the band," recalls leader Andy Powell. "Playing songs chosen by our audience gives the whole thing a refreshing, interactive feel, a new sense of purpose and direction to the live experience. That's why we're doing it all over again!"

The tour theme is based on the idea of actively involving the fans in shaping the setlist. Fans of the band can submit their favorite songs - including rarely played songs - via a survey on social media. These fan favorites then find their way into the live shows. In this way, WISHBONE ASH present a balanced mix of timeless classics, rare song gems and newer tracks from recent years at their concerts. This concept is also planned for the continuation of the Wishlist Tour.

To mark their first Wishlist Tour, WISHBONE ASH have released an exclusive special edition of the Wishlist CD, which will only be available at the live concerts. German fans can also look forward to a very special highlight: a live CD and DVD of the concert in Cologne, which was recorded as part of the 2024 tour. The production is currently in the final phase and the release is planned for this year.

WISHBONE ASH was founded in London in 1969 - right in the middle of the exciting early days of progressive rock. The British band took advantage of the creative climate of this era, developed a characteristic, melodic rock sound and established themselves as one of the most influential guitar bands in rock history. Powerful energy paired with catchy melodies made "The ASH" an exceptional live act that is now being rediscovered by a new generation of rock fans. Over the course of their career, the band has repeatedly ventured into different styles - from folk, blues and jazz to hard rock and electronic influences. What always makes WISHBONE ASH unmistakable, however, is the harmonious interplay between their two lead guitars - a trademark that has been a major inspiration for groups such as Thin Lizzy, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Iron Maiden and Opeth. They finally created a musical monument with their album "Argus".
