Sisook Kang and Kapsun Hwang offer an intensive three-day workshop in which they share their tools and techniques for making high-quality, but often perceived as challenging, porcelain. The aim is to introduce participants to effective and easy-to-use methods.
The two ceramists will present their own work and demonstrate how to make useful tools and use them efficiently. Many people find working with porcelain difficult. In this workshop, however, you will learn uncomplicated and proven methods with which even complex work steps can be accomplished effortlessly.
In addition to turning, you will also work with ceramic plates: The slab technique will be introduced and can be tried out in parallel with turning - a good opportunity for anyone who wants to try their hand at more than just the wheel.
In addition, selected works by Korean and German ceramicists will be presented, including the techniques and materials used in each case.
The workshop is aimed at advanced students or participants with experience in ceramics and offers a wealth of knowledge and practice despite the compact time frame. A unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of porcelain and get to know different working techniques.
