Artificial intelligence (AI) has long been part of our everyday lives - whether in the world of work, in social media, in healthcare or in politics and administration, hardly any area of society remains untouched by AI. But what consequences does this technological development have for our social coexistence and democracy? The lecture will shed light on how AI is changing our communication, opinion-forming and decision-making processes - and what opportunities and risks are associated with this. The focus is on the effects of AI on social participation, transparency and trust in democratic institutions. The aim is to promote a differentiated discussion of the social impact of AI and to encourage an exchange on how to shape digital change responsibly. - Registration required.
