Helmut Lachenmann's 90th birthday is not only an occasion for us to celebrate, but also the starting point for a special anniversary concert - one that sees itself as an open experiment.
Lachenmann's music challenges us, inspires us and never lets us rest. In it, we encounter a unique balance between sensual physicality and analytical acuity, between intuition and reflection. It is radical in its thinking - and at the same time can be experienced in a deeply physical way. In dialog with the choreographer Emi Miyoshi and the SHIBUI KOLLEKTIV, a new perspective on this music emerges: dance and movement open up spaces in which the physical dimension of Lachenmann's music can unfold - and in which listening becomes an experience in space.
