Poetry Slam: Democracy - word for word

Poetry slam "Democracy - word for word!" What does democracy mean in everyday life? What does freedom sound like in verse? Young and experienced poets shed light on the diversity, challenges and opportunities of democratic coexistence with texts they have written themselves - sometimes political, sometimes poetic, sometimes provocative, but always personal. The audience listens, thinks along and decides who wins in the end - because as in every democracy, every vote counts. The evening is hosted by Ansgar Hufnagel in a humorous and sly manner.

On stage: Aileen Schneider, Hessen champion 2022, opera director and playwright; Anna Lisa Azur, award-winning poet and organizer from the Bergisches Land region; Cäcilia Hufnagel, actress and author; Daniel Wagner, multiple award-winning slam poet from Heidelberg; Stefan Unser, long-time organizer of the Karlsruhe slam scene and 2016 state champion.

Special guest: Larissa Leaves with percussive ukulele, loop station and musical world travels - a sound adventure without words - an evening between stage and message, opinion and compassion - powerful, entertaining, touching. Line-up subject to change.
