The Philippine archipelago consists of 7107 islands. They are surrounded by dream beaches, steep cliffs and untouched mangrove forests. They have volcanoes, rainforests and ancient cultural sites. Some of them are large and densely populated, home to large metropolises such as the mega-city of Manila and the vibrant trading town of Cebu. Others are small coral islands with secluded bays, uninhabited and untouched.
Photographers and photojournalists Tobias Hauser and David Hettich traveled to the Philippines over several years and have created a portrait of the Asian country rich in contrasts in their new presentation, which reflects the natural and cultural diversity in exciting reportages and provides interesting insights into the lives of the people.
