Kasper and the Magic Cloak - A Hand Puppet Show for Children Ages Four and Up
“Kasper and the Magic Cloak” is a new puppet theater production in two acts with a running time of approximately 45 minutes.
On a trip around the world, Kasper and his dog Bello stop in the Far East. There, they set out in search of the mysterious magic cloak, which belongs to the generous caliph. With great compassion and a heart in the right place, he rules over his kingdom. Thanks to the magical cloak, neither fear, hunger, nor suffering can arise.
But no sooner has Kasper arrived at his destination than it becomes clear that the cloak has been damaged in an accident, and the tailor who rushes to help is not who he claims to be. Through trickery and false promises, the cloak falls into the wrong hands and disappears from the palace of glittering towers.
Before greater disaster strikes, Kasper sets out in search of the scoundrel, who is already trying by any means necessary to exploit the cloak for his own purposes.
Fortunately, Kasper and Bello are able to help and avert a great evil. And thanks to the wondrous fairy and the children’s support, the caliph will surely be able to rule his land peacefully once again.
Puppeteer David Minuth takes the audience on an imaginative journey through fairy-tale worlds, where enchanting puppets and artful sets inspire not only children to dream.
Dr. Johannes, Karin, and David Minuth are known far beyond the borders of Freiburg for their fairy-tale puppet shows. They write their own scripts and also design and craft the enchanting puppets.
