Kanonenplatz (Cannon Square)
Kanonenplatz offers a fantastic view over the rooftops of Oberau, Wiehre and large parts of the old town.
It is built on shifting ground, to which it owes its name. However, little more than the history of the Vauban fortifications remains today. Instead, telescopes extend the view, which on clear days stretches across the Rhine Valley to the Vosges mountains.
