Jersey workshop (sewing course)

What is jersey and how do I get beautiful results when sewing with it? There are a few challenges to overcome when designing and making clothes from jersey. You will learn about cutting and different types of stitches, try out working with elastic and learn tips and tricks for working with stretchy materials. We will do various exercises on the subject of jersey and sew 1-2 models. Depending on your height, you will need 1.50-2.00 m of jersey. Choose a good quality, not too thin, so that it is easier to work with. You should already have some sewing experience for this course. Please bring along: Pattern (for a T-shirt, shirt and/or slip), pre-washed jersey fabric (preferably not viscose jersey for beginners), sewing thread and all materials specified in the pattern, 70 mm jersey needles and twin needle, pins, tape measure. Sewing machines are available, but you are welcome to bring your own sewing or overlock machine (in perfect technical condition!) with accessories and instruction booklet. Please note: This is not an overlock course!
