Tourist Information

Please note: Due to building works, the Tourist Information Office will be located from 1 August to 13 September 2026 temporarily at Rathausgasse 14. The temporary location is just a few metres from its usual location in the Old Town Hall – in the blue building opposite the O₂ shop and the Lazzarin ice cream parlour.

The Tourist Information Centre is located within the historic walls of the old town hall. We are happy to answer your questions, provide you with a city map and brochures or inform you about events in Freiburg during your stay. Feel free to come in! The eye-catching, sandstone-red façade will show you the way to us.

The Freiburg Tourist Information Centre on Rathausplatz is open for you as follows:

June-September (high season)

Hiking quarter in Freiburg and the region

From May to July, discover a variety of hiking trails for young and old - from relaxed to challenging, including barrier-free tours. Whether in Freiburg, the Upper Black Forest or the Kaiserstuhl: numerous hiking maps, personal tips and atmospheric photos will whet your appetite for getting out and about at the tourist information centre. The Black Forest Association is also a guest here and offers exciting information events and guided hikes.
