Paris - Buenos Aires - New York
France, tango and Astor Piazzolla
Tango Nuevo and classical music ¡And even more tango!
Sensual, melancholy, raw, traditional and alive to this day. In search of Astor Piazzolla, the Freiburg Accordion Orchestra, conducted by ZMF prizewinner Volker Rausenberger, embarks on a journey with stops in Buenos Aires, Paris and New York. Together with the incomparable singer Josefina Aymonino from La Plata, Argentina, who worked with none other than Amelita Baltar, Piazzolla's partner of many years, the FAO presents a unique program of tango nuevo, traditional tango and classical music along Astor Piazzolla's life path. From his early years in Buenos Aires, through his classical studies in Paris and their impact, to his later years in New York - an exciting Sunday morning matinee.
