A Hole in the Wall - New Year's Eve Evening Performance
By Stephan Eckel
A comedy full of pace, wit, and quirky charm about skills, vanity, and a wonderfully absurd office routine!
There’s a problem at the office: There’s a hole in the outer wall of Department D. No one wants to be blamed for it, and everyone is asking: Where did it come from? What should we do? Who did it?
Meanwhile, almost all the employees in the department are on sick leave. Only Ms. Schmitt bravely holds the fort behind her mountains of paperwork—kept warm by plenty of tea with rum. Neither the hole in the wall nor field representative Maier, who happens to be wandering through the office by chance, can rattle Ms. Schmitt.
The handyman called in by Department Head Schneider didn’t solve the problem with the hole—he actually made it worse. So now Managing Director Wagner steps in and, as a last-ditch, desperate measure, orders a “supportive intervention.” A motivational coach is brought in to sort out the chaos, smooth over tensions, and figure out who’s actually responsible for what here.
And so Ms. Kleinschmitt arrives, now with her hands full trying to mediate the power struggles between the men and ensure that the hole is closed again so Ms. Schmitt can finally go into her well-deserved retirement. Will she succeed?
