We visit the March Observatory and, weather permitting, observe the sky above us: the summer constellations saying goodbye, the rising autumn constellations and the cratered moon. Star clusters, nebulae and galaxies can also be observed. Observation with the telescope is not possible if the sky is overcast or it is raining. In this case, we will show you the current starry sky on the screen after a guided tour of the observatory. The March Observatory is not barrier-free. The visit is not suitable for wheelchair users or children under the age of 12. Please remember to bring warm clothing. The March observatory is located between Buchheim and Holzhausen on the right-hand side of the road by the transmission mast.
Directions to the observatory: Take the B31a exit March, turn right to March. After the railroad crossing in Hugstetten, follow the main road towards Buchheim. Turn right at the pharmacy in the direction of Holzhausen. Approx. 300 m after leaving Buchheim, turn right onto the field path "Hölgacker", then immediately left again. After approx. 150 m you have reached your destination, the March observatory. - Registration required.
