20 years of DIE HAPPY and 2 babies 2013 is a special year for DIE HAPPY!

20 years ago - in September 1993 - a 19-year-old Czech language genius came to Ulm. She actually just wanted to pass the time while waiting for her place at university as an interpreter and learn a new language at the same time. But Marta Jandová, daughter of the well-known Czech rock musician Petr Janda, was asked by guitarist Thorsten Mewes a few days after her arrival whether she would like to sing in his new band. That was the birth of DIE HAPPY!

The band around the charismatic bundle of energy Marta has long since established itself as one of the best German live acts. With sold-out club tours, concerts at all the major festivals, Echo nominations and several top ten chart positions, they are a permanent fixture in our musical landscape.
