The Freiburger Weltacker - Mundenhof (excursion)

In purely mathematical terms, every person on earth has 2000 square meters of arable land available for food, textiles and transport. Can we make do with our 2000 square meters? Unfortunately, not all of us. Waste, the production of meat and energy play an important role here. The Weltacker is a world of experience for global topics that are currently of concern to everyone and are related to agriculture, nutrition and sustainability. On our 2000 m², we grow the most important 45 crops that are grown on arable land worldwide, true to scale. The tour shows what grows on the world's arable land, what is made from it and where in the world our food is grown. At the end, you can work out how many square meters you have for dinner. - Registration required.
