Making colorful glass beads yourself - for beginners

The roots of glass bead making go way back into the past. The glowing radiance of colorful beads has lost none of its fascination to this day. After a historical introduction to glass beads from the Bronze Age to the early Middle Ages, participants will learn about the necessary working equipment. A demonstration will be followed by practical experiments with real liquid glass and we will continuously discuss initial successes and questions. The aim of the course is to acquire and deepen basic skills - and to take home a few beads of your own. Max. 8 participants. - Please bring your own: Safety glasses (if you do not wear glasses), braid or similar (for long hair), closed clothing and a little patience.
