Anna has finally found her dream apartment in Freiburg - with a balcony, in a quiet location, perfect for a fresh start after her divorce. And Ralf, one of her balcony neighbors and a passionate music and plant lover, seems to be quite charming after a somewhat bumpy first meeting. Everything seems perfect until Anna finds out after a few days who her other neighbor is: Nico, her ex-husband! Complications are inevitable, as Nico is also not at all happy about living balcony to balcony with his ex-wife.
Nico, who is desperately trying to finish his first debut novel, urges Anna to move out again, but this is completely out of the question for her. And so it comes as it must: The sparks fly, Anna and Nico bicker like old tinkers. And Ralf - right in the middle of the action on the balcony - doesn't know what hit him. When romantic feelings that were thought lost suddenly flash up between the squabblers, the situation on the balconies seems to relax. But far from it...
