Autobiographical writing

When your own experiences become stories... You like to write. So it makes sense to draw inspiration for creative stories from your own biography. Perhaps we write for ourselves in order to gain a better understanding of our inner life. Perhaps we write for others in order to pass on our experiences and insights to those around us. If you want to learn how to turn memories into interesting and entertaining stories, then this weekend seminar is for you. Course content: - You will be given an overview of the different forms of autobiographical writing (e.g. memoir, documentary, literary genres) - You will learn techniques of story development and creation (including. chronological approach, working with time jumps and flashbacks) - You will try out different writing impulses (change of perspective, variation in tempo, stylistic devices to build up suspense, etc.) - You will write stories that you can share with the course - You will receive professional feedback from the course instructor
