Konviktstraße (Street Konviktstrasse)

When sunny days herald the arrival of summer, wisteria vines bedeck one of Freiburg's most beautiful narrow streets. The light-purple flowers adorn Konviktstrasse and its medieval houses like a profusion of garlands.

The former trade’s street dates back to the 11th century. It was completely destroyed during the war but is now a jewel of Freiburg’s Old Town restoration. The charming facades of the houses have been restored with great attention to detail and respect for their historical structure. The curve of the street has also been preserved.
