Artistika meets ZMF - ZMF Freiburg

The renowned Swiss artistry festival Artistika from Visp (Valais) will be making a guest appearance in Fribourg on July 26, 2026 under the title Artistika meets ZMF. The festival, which is dedicated to top-class contemporary artistry, will present a spectacular variety gala with international award-winning artists in the circus tent.
After ten successful editions in which the festival brought together the international variety scene in Switzerland and acclaimed guest performances as part of the Artistika meets friends format, Artistika is now celebrating its debut at the tent music festival
Artistika meets ZMF will be an evening that redefines the limits of human body control and transports the audience into the fascinating world of contemporary circus. The audience can look forward to a varied program of artistry, juggling, comedy and music. Cirque du Soleil star and BMX specialist Rob Alton, aerialist Linda Sander and acrobatic duo Chris & Iris will be among the performers. Special highlights in this already top-class show are the performances of the fast-paced chaos theater Oropax and the world-famous clown Peter Shub.
The experience is rounded off by an exhibition in the foyer. On display are selected works by award-winning sculptor Benjamin Georgeaud, who also designs the Artistika trophies. The exhibition is complemented by black and white photographs by Klaus Polkowski, who has already photographed the acrobats in Switzerland.
