Our newly developed apartment hotel offers all the advantages of a mountain house.secluded location at 1161m in the cleanest mountain air with a wide view: We look down to Fribourg at 200m and over to the Feldberg at 1493m, in special weather conditions to the Swiss Alps. Pure nature and outdoor activities are our passion. We build on innovative technology, regionality and sustainability in all areas. Our atmosphere is relaxed and laid-back, combined with the comfort of the hotel and the warm, cosy atmosphere of the traditional Black Forest and fresh colour accents of today. Here you can come to yourself, experience silence or make contacts. After hiking, biking or skiing, enjoy our sauna and relaxation facilities. The large lounge with balcony has a fantastic view of the slopes of the Feldberg. The restaurant offers small, fine, handmade delicacies and delicious menus. Dogs are welcome in some apartments, but not allowed in the common rooms. A washing machine and a dryer are available for a fee. Besides our restaurant there are 3 more within walking distance plus a bakery and café in Hofsgrund. Our house is located directly at the sledge and ski lift, within walking distance of the Schauinsland Mining Museum and the top station of the Schauinsland cable car. You can find more attractions on our homepage. We will pick you and your luggage up at the bus stop or at the cable car if you let us know in advance.

Directions
by bus
From Freiburg Hauptbahnhof take the train to Kirchzarten Bahnhof. From there, take bus no. 7215 in the direction of Todtnau, get off at the 'Hotel Halde' stop in Hofsgrund and call from there or walk in the direction of the Schauinsland mountain station and take the path to the house on the left 200m after the junction of the country road to Münstertal/Stohren. Walking time about 30 minutes.
Ask briefly beforehand whether our company vehicle is on site, then we could arrange to pick up guests at the 'Hotel Halde'
by car
From Freiburg 19 km in the direction of Schauinsland, past the mountain station, continue on the pass road towards Notschrei approx. 750m, clearly before the junction Münstertal/Staufen the path to the house turns right.
From Kirchzarten 15 km in the direction of Oberried, continue to Hofsgrund to the junction at the Hotel Halde, from there turn right for about 1.5 km in the direction of the Schauinsland/Freiburg mountain station, shortly after the Münstertal/Staufen junction the path to the house turns left.
From Staufen/Münstertal 17 km in the direction of Oberwiesental, in Obermünstertal turn left in the right-hand bend after the Hotel Spielweg into the Stohrenstraße (K 4957) in the direction of Schauinsland, at the Gasthaus Gießhübel turn right all the way up to the pass road, turn left there, after 200m the path to the house turns left.
Differing cancellation conditions
The guest can cancel free of charge until 7 days before arrival. The guest will be charged 90% of the price of the reservation if they cancel in the 7 days before arrival.
Tourist tax information
