Hotel Pension Goldene Krone boarding house was established in July 2005. The historic building was completely renovated and expanded according to the latest standards, its modernly furnished rooms each equipped with shower/WC and a DSL connection. TVs are available upon request. Our breakfast room invites you to start your day in a warm, inviting atmosphere. The breakfast buffet has something for every taste, whether you prefer a hearty breakfast or one of the sweeter variety. The restaurant Goldene Krone is located in the adjacent building, where you can enjoy a well-cooked meal and freshly tapped beer. Hotel guests can also reach the restaurant through the inner courtyard. Motorcyclists and cyclists are very welcome at our boarding house, which offers covered parking for bikes in the inner courtyard. Our enviable location on the edge of downtown Freiburg allows guests to reach not only the city center, historic Old Town, and Freiburg Cathedral in the blink of an eye, but also the convention center, university, university hospital, and concert hall or theater. Directions
Anfahrt mit dem Auto: Von der A5 die Ausfahrt Freiburg-Mitte in Richtung Freiburg/Donaueschingen nehmen. Bei der 1. Ampel rechts in die Kronenstraße (lange Rechtsabbieger-Spur) und dann gleich wieder rechts in die Mattenstraße einbiegen. Der Eingang befindet sich in der Mattenstraße 2a auf der linken Straßenseite. Anfahrt mit der Bahn: vom Freiburger Hauptbahnhof können Sie mit Bus Linie 10 oder 11 bis Haltestelle Hummelstraße fahren. Von dort sind es ca. 50 m in die Mattenstraße 2a. Der Eingang befindet sich auf der linken Straßenseite. Natürlich warten vor dem Bahnhof auch zahlreiche Taxis, die Sie bis vor unsere Haustüre bringen. Auch zu Fuß kommt man über Wilhelmstraße-Werderring-Kronenbrücke-Kronenstraße-Mattenstraße in 10-15 Min. zu uns.
