Braukollektiv Freiburg
James Tutor, Gil Scheuermann, Bernhard Frenzel, and Chris Murphy – the four founders of the Braukollektiv Freiburg first banded together in 2013 to shake up the beer landscape in Freiburg.
Since then, the gentlemen like to experiment for a living and keep creating new types of beer, most of which are brewed in an independent family brewery in the Black Forest. The Braukollektiv has even made a name for themselves outside of Freiburg: Since 2015, they've joined Decker Bier in organizing the Craftival – a colorful festival of beer culture with guests from all over the world that’s laid the cornerstone for the young beer scene in Freiburg. Did you know that Freiburg is considered the craft beer capital of Germany? The Craft Beers can be purchased at several points of sale in Freiburg, for example at the Craft Beer Lodge or at the Bierhandlung.
