Dilger Vineyard
The fascination with the combination of rustic wine-growing and urban life was what drove Andreas Dilger to found a vineyard “in the middle of the city” in 2001. He's been producing his ecological wines in the Freiburg district of Wiehre, within walking distance of the Historic Old Town, ever since.
Ecological wine-growing not far from Freiburg’s old town
In order to avoid the use of pesticides, the Andreas Dilger Vineyard grows fungus-resistant vines. The so far little-known plants, such as Helios and Monarch, captivate with their unique aromas: from fruity Riesling to floral nutmeg.
The Georges Blanc (2016) received the EcoWinner award as one of Germany's best organic wines in the year 2017. Connoisseurs can taste the cuvée from Johanniter, Souvignier gris and Muscaris lime, honeydew melon, and nectarine.
Let yourself be surprised by the aromas of these new types of vines at a wine tasting!
